• "Oh sweetie!" Deborah cooed as she wrapped Chelsea in another hug. "He is a monster. And he never deserved any of you," She whispered fiercely in her friend's ear. Chelsea whimpered and nodded her head, grateful for Deborah's vocal critique of the man she couldn't quite yet bring herself to rebuke. But slowly, as the significance of what happened sank in, and the initial emotional disbelief faded, Chelsea found she had a sea of rage boiling inside of her. A sea of scorned rage that would not abate until revenge had been taken. If her husband was going to take her family away from her, then she was going to take everything he cared about away from him.
• Pulling back again, Chelsea wiped her tears much more angrily and she sat up, breathing deep to get control of herself. Deborah watched her friend as Chelsea gathered the strength she needed to make the next move.
